På engelskan har jag och Michaaela som sagt vad skrivit en rapport angående hur det är att vara utbytesstudent i Grenoble och på Génie Industriel. Det verkar som att läraren tyckte att detta var ett intressant ämne, för på lektionen återberättade hon för klassen några av de exempel vi skrivit i "findings"-delen:

 

Example 1

The exchange student enters the classroom before the lecture and settles down beside a French student. When another French student comes, the exchange students get the question if he or she can move so that the French students can sit beside each other.

 

Example 2

During a class with the second year students, the teacher asks the students to work in groups. The exchange student asks a group of French students if she can join them and they work together during the whole class. The week after when the exchange student enters the classroom, she closes one of the French students she worked with the week before. The exchange students say ”Salut” but when the French student looks up at the exchange student, the exchange student receives a business mannered ”Bonjour”.

 

Example 3

The exchange student is the only exchange student in the class. One French student takes place behind her and begins to talk to her. The French student asks where she comes from and when they shall build groups, there are no problems for the French student to be in the same group as the exchange student.

 

Så eftersom vi just nu håller på med problemlösning med olika case så har vi till nästa vecka läxan att skriva om hur utbytesstudenterna lättare skulle kunna integreras på Génie Industriel. Jag hoppas att våra franska klasskamrater inte tog illa upp... Men desåg mest förvånade ut och frågade oss om vi hade tagit med verkliga exempel. Vi svarade ärligt att det var hämtat från vår tid på deras skola...

Jag skriver inte detta för att avskräcka från utbytesår. De dåliga erfarenheterna är bara en sida av myntet som överskuggas av allt det bra jag har varit med om detta år!
